CHASE SUCKS

Chase creditcard that is. So we decide to buy a laptop, and to get the best deal we need to apply for a Chase chargecard. This is how it all started, now anymove we make we get hit with late fees, repayment fees, office fees, minimum periodic finance fee, and the really cool screw you fee.

The screw you fee is the fee they add when you dispute any fee or charge that might not be correct. I disputed a $35.00 late fee and my screw you fee was $74.00. Allow me to explain; in May our bill arrived four days before the due date, we mailed the check the next day over the amount. On our next statement we were charged a $35.00 late fee. They got the payment two days late that's $17.50 per day. I disputed the charge and today I got a letter basically saying screw you pay up and by the way here's another fee for even trying to dispute our way of doing business.

Chase Sucks, but this is not over, right now I can feel another fee on the way for the letter I'm about to send disputing this fee for disputing the last fee.

Dogs of Indoor

We have dogs, big dogs, German shepherds to be exact. Before you roll your eyes and think, great another "I Love My Dog Story" hear me out. Yes we do love our dogs, but we are also kind'a afraid they've become to smart. Everyone thinks their dog is a genius, but not everyone has two over one-hundred pound monsters who believe they only have to answer the Cat concerning their actions.

Take for example this weekend, my wife and I planned to have guests, but forgot to consult the canines. A few hours before the guests arrived the dogs left large smelly gifts on a very expensive rug. Both dogs have been housebroken for years, and unless they are ill they almost never have "accidents" indoors. They weren't ill just displeased with our choice of guests and this was their way of letting me know how they felt. How do I know this; because they took their punishment without complaint. Allow me to explain for people who don't have dogs, if the piles on the rug had been an accident I would have been met at the door with sad eyes and tucked tails. Instead I was met with the "You damn right I did it and I'll do it Again" look. People with dogs know this look, people without dogs there is no equivalent for this look.

After our guest left, my Wife and I decided to spend some time by ourselves i.e.; alone without the dogs. Huge mistake. One hour alone time equals four hours of clean-up which includes, but not limited to; more piles on rug, all kitchen pots and pans scattered about the house, a remote control chewed beyond belief, one leather sandal chewed, one Italian loafer desoled, litter box content removed and placed about the house, we are still looking for two house plants missing in action, we found some dirt but no plant or planter.
After screaming and yelling and some crying, I loved that remote, we decided on the punishment, which included but wasn't limited too; removal of all doggie toys, banishment from the room with the litter box, which by the way is my office and has all the cool toys any dog or adult child would enjoy, no snacks, no more gourmet meals, no table scraps, walks on leashes only, no free frolicking.

I thought this lockdown on the dogs would show them who's really in charge. It didn't. The dogs obviously knew what I had planned and countered my punishment with, but not limited to; having a back up stash of doggie toys, a treaty with the Cat for treats, new dexterity for silently removing table scraps from the trash even when the lid is in the locked position, and all this planned around a set of vet visits which will assure them of rides, so who cares about walking when you can ride. I have to start planning better ways to punish these two dogs, I must reassert my authority or I'll be the one sleeping on the floor. I better end this now I hear someone pulling into the drive and since my Wife and I are both home, that means the dogs are home early and I'm not allowed on the computer until after supper.
